Therapy for men who are ready for a different way.

You can be doing well on the outside and still feel anxious, stretched thin, or oddly far from the life you’ve built. This is a calm, genuine place to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and reconnect with what matters.

Let Go. Feel. Find Freedom.

Start a Conversation No pressure. Just a conversation.

What therapy here is like

Therapy with me doesn’t have to feel clinical, heavy, or focused only on what’s wrong. We start with you (the person, not a diagnosis or a checklist) and move at a pace that meets you where you are.

It’s a real conversation: honest, collaborative, sometimes light and sometimes deep. My style is relaxed and personal, and I care most about genuine connection. I want you to feel understood, and to actually look forward to coming in. Together we make room to breathe, notice the patterns that have been running underneath, and find a way forward that fits your life.

How I can help

People reach out for all kinds of reasons, and it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what’s going on. Maybe your mind rarely switches off, you’re carrying more pressure than anyone realizes, or you’ve done everything you thought you were supposed to do yet still feel disconnected from the life you’ve built.

Sometimes it shows up in relationships, during a major change, or as a growing sense that you want more meaning, connection, or room to breathe. You don’t need a diagnosis or the right words to begin. If something feels like it could be different, that’s a good place to start. We’ll figure out together what would actually help.

About Tim

I’m Tim Plucinsky, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in San Diego, with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. I work with men around anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions.

I started The Open Way Therapy because I wanted to offer men the kind of therapy I believe they often need: a place to slow down, be honest about what they’re carrying, and explore more than just symptoms. What matters most to me is genuine connection. I want you to feel seen, heard, and respected, comfortable enough to show up honestly and do real work.

My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. Therapy can go deep without feeling distant or clinical, and there’s room for curiosity, humor, and the relief of being understood. If this sounds like the kind of therapy you’ve been looking for, I’d be glad to hear from you.
